    My thoughts:

    – Demonstrating a flipped lesson would be a great PD topic. We could either have our staff members make presentations or find videos that are available online. Some teachers are very good at this type of instruction and others don’t have a clue about how to incorporate it into their curriculum. – I think this method of teaching alleviates some of the boring, hum-drum lectures and creates more time for hands-on activities. – Having videos available for students that are absent will allow them to catch up on the content that was missed. Teachers could give a quick pop-quiz if students are coming to class without watching the assigned material. – Having videos to watch at home would also be a great way to involve parents in the educational processes. I hear too many comments from parents stating that they don’t have any idea about how to help their children with their homework. Parents could quickly watch a 10 minute video that demonstrates skills that are being taught in the classroom – especially helpful in math content.
